The construction of the grand temple of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya has been completed. Ancient architecture was used in the construction of this temple, which made the temples special and grand in the past. This grand temple of Shri Ram has been built in the traditional Nagar style. The structure of the temple has many features. The foundation stone of the Ram temple was laid in August 2020. The Ram temple in Ayodhya is built on several acres of land.

The architecture of Ram Temple expresses the traditions of Hindu religion and culture. This temple will have a huge sanctum sanctorum of Lord Shri Ram. The length of the main temple from east to west will be approximately 360 feet, the width will be 235 feet, and the height, including the spire, will be 161 feet. This temple is built on three floors, and the height of each floor is 20 feet. There are a total of 392 pillars and 44 doors in the temple.

There will be a huge sanctum sanctorum of Lord Shri Ram on the ground floor of the temple, in which Shri Ramlala, the child form of Lord Shri Ram, will be installed, and there will also be a huge Shivalinga in this sanctum sanctorum. This huge womb planet is known as the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram.

There will be the court of Lord Shri Ram in the sanctum sanctorum of the first floor of the temple, in which, along with Lord Shri Ram, Mother Sita, Shri Ram’s brother Shri Laxman, and Lord Shri Ram’s ardent devotee Shri Hanuman, will also be present. be established.

The temple consists of five mandapas: Nritya Mandap, Rang Mandap, Gudha Mandap (Sabha Mandap), Prarthana Mandap, and Kirtan Mandap. The main temple has 12 pillars made of special stones; there are a total of 392 pillars in the complex, which are decorated with statues of gods and goddesses. The entrance, located in the east, is reached via 32 stairs, reaching a height of 16.5 feet. The lion gate is behind the stairs. Special provisions, such as ramp walks and lifts, cater to the needs of disabled and elderly devotees, emphasizing inclusivity and accessibility.


Apart from the main temple, other proposed temples will also be found in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi complex. This temple is dedicated to Maharishi Valmiki, the author of the epic Ramayana, Lord Shri Ram’s guru Maharishi Vishwamitra, Maharishi Agastya, Shri Ram’s friend Nishadraj Guh, Shri Ram’s devotee mother Shabari, and Maharishi Gautam’s wife, whom Lord Shri Ram freed from bondage.               The temple complex is surrounded by large rectangular walls on all sides. The length of these ramparts is 732 meters, and the width is 4.25 meters. The temple of Lord Hanumanji is built on the southern side of these rectangular ramparts, and the temple of Mata Annapurna is built on the northern side. There is also an ancient Sita well near the temple. Along with the renovation of the Shiva temple located on the mound of Navratna Kuber ji in the south-west part of the temple, the statue of Ram devotee Jatayu Raj has also been installed.
